Resident Library Cards

Real estate taxes support the Library. Residents who live within the Library District’s boundaries receive a free library card. Library cards are good for 3 years. Children aged 3 to 17 may also get a library card. The second replacement card will cost $2.00, and any additional replacement cards will cost $5.00.

How to Get Your Card

Adults:
You must present one picture ID and an official piece of mail with your current address. If your picture ID does not have your current address, then you must include a second official piece of mail with your current address.

Picture ID — driver’s license, state ID card, school ID card, passport. For others, please call ahead to ensure it will be acceptable.

Official Mail— Piece of mail delivered by post office (other than junk mail), such as a utility bill, checkbook, car registration, or property tax bill. For others, please call ahead to ensure it will be acceptable.

Children:
If a parent or legal guardian does not have a current library card, they will need to provide the necessary items of identification as mentioned above to start a library card for their children ages 3 to 17. The parent or legal guardian will be financially responsibility for all items checked out on the child’s library card.
